Sandnes Garn Kos

Kos consists of alpaca fibres that are combined with wool and blown into a nylon stocking. This results in a soft, light and airy yarn.

Alpaca is about three times warmer than ordinary wool and thus insulates well. The fibre is hollow and breathable, so it feels warm in cold temperatures and cool in warm ones. The wool added to this blend provides resilience and volume. Both alpaca and wool have good heat-regulating properties.

• Metrage: Approx. 150 meters per 50 grams

• Knitting Needles: Knitting Needle no. 4½-5½

• Knitting tension: 18-16 sts = 10 cm

• Fibre content: 62% alpaca and 9% wool blown onto a 29% nylon core
