PetiteKnit Cross Sweater Kit

This item is the yarn needed to complete your PetiteKnit Cross Sweater. The kit contains Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt (100% Norwegian wool) for a beautiful colourful result.

The pattern was developed in collaboration with the Red Cross. The entire sales from the Cross Sweater are donated to the Red Cross. Please note that because of this, PetiteKnit only authorises sales of this pattern from their own website, so this kit does not contain the pattern, only the yarn.

The Cross Sweater is worked from the top down. A band of crosses is worked on the yoke and along the bottom of the sleeves and the body. First, the top part of the back yoke is worked back and forth, then each shoulder is worked back and forth on a circular needle. Both shoulders are then joined to form the front yoke. The front and back yoke are joined at the underarms to form the body, which is worked in the round on a circular needle. The sleeves are worked down from stitches that are picked up and knitted around the armholes. At the end, a folded neck edge is worked with stripes from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the neckline.

• Sizing: The sizes XXS (XS) S (M) L (XL) 2XL (3XL) 4XL (5XL) are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 (100-110) 110-120 (120-130) 130-140 (140-150) cm. Before beginning your project, measure yourself with a measuring tape around your bust (or your widest upper body part) to determine which size will fit you the best. The Cross Sweater is designed to have approx. 25 cm of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 25 cm larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The size of the finished sweater is 104 (108) 116 (120) 124 (132) 140 (148) 156 (164) cm. The measurements are achieved if the sweater is knitted to the correct gauge. Example sizing: if your bust circumference is 95 cm and you knit a size M, your sweater will have a bust circumference of 120 cm which would give you 25 cm of positive ease.
