PetiteKnit April Cardigan - Physical pattern

Price

£5.50

This item is a physical copy of the PetiteKnit April Cardigan pattern in A5 colour booklet form. Click here for the PetiteKnit April Cardigan Kit.

The April Cardigan has a V-neckline and is worked from the top down. The first part of the yoke is worked with shoulder increases on both RS and WS rows. The next part is worked with sleeve increases and the final part with classic raglan increases. At the same time, increases are worked along the front edges to shape the V-neckline. The sleeves are worked in the round on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique. At the end, stitches are picked up and knitted along the fronts, shoulders and back of neck, and a ribbed front edge with buttonholes is worked.

  • Sizing: The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm. Before beginning your project, measure yourself with a measuring tape around your bust (or your widest upper body part) to determine which size will fit you the best. The April Cardigan is designed to have approx. 6-8 cm of positive ease, meaning it is designed to be approx. 6-8 cm larger in circumference than your bust measurement. The size of the finished sweater is 91 (97) 101 (106) 118 (127) 137 (146) 158 cm. The measurements are achieved if the sweater is knitted to the correct gauge. Example sizing: if your bust circumference is 90 cm and you knit a size S, your sweater will have a bust circumference of 97 cm which would give you 7 cm of positive ease.

  • Gauge: 21 stitches x 28 rows in stockinette stitch on 4 mm needles = 10 x 10 cm

  • Notions needed: - 3 mm, 3.5 mm and 4 mm circular needles (check out the PetiteKnit Sweater Equipment Pack here) - Stitch markers for raglan shaping and end-of-row marker (check out the Woolly Wol stitch marker section here) - Tape measure - 4 Buttons (21-23 mm diameter)
