Alafosslopi Wool

The traditional yarn for Icelandic sweaters which is so soft and squishy and knits up quickly on a

6 mm needle so ideal for beginners! Here at Woolly Wol, we currently stock 31 colours including 3 of the new new Alafosslopi colours launched by Istex on 1 September, Arctic Poppy, June 17th Tweed and Wooly Moss (see the yellow, green and blue photo showing how nice those three go together!).

The group shots are to show you the differences between some of the similar shades (all from left to right). The reds and purples are Dark Soft Purple, Bordeaux Heather, Sheep Sorrel and Ruby Red Heather. The two brown/red ones are Sheep Sorrel and Red Oxblood. The pinks are Dark Magenta, Fuchsia Heather, Red Oxblood and Bordeaux Heather. The greens are Apple Green, Chartreuse Green Heather and Wooly Moss. The blues are Light Denim, Denim, Light Indigo and Indigo. The browns are Acorn and Chocolate Heather.
